I have been following this thread lately and simply cannot believe what I am reading. Here in Miami we have a "retail" store which has an Apple authorized repair shop. They charge $40/hour and we thought that was pretty high! Since I have dealt with them only thru University of Miami channels, I just called to make sure the $40/hour labor rate was available to the general public. It is. We get reasonably good service from them. Compared to $75/hour, one could ship a broken machine to & from Miami from anywhere in the US and still come out on top even if only one hour of labor was required. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jerry L.
