(cross posting from comp.sys.mac.general:) What printer do you recommend for use with macs? We use several mac programs, and also print to it in postscript from the unix world. Currently have a IINTX, which is just fine, but they're expensive. For half the price would could get an hplaserjetIII with ps cartridge. Does it work seamlessly in the mac environment? Any known problems? Quality? Speed? Requires any extra software drivers, hardware translators? Handles downloaded fonts? Accessible via appletalk, like laserwriter? Handle large volumes? Reliability? (I haven't been able to find macworld or macuser articles on this topic. On usenet, I saw one comment that the inkjet printers' ink doesn't dry well, and comes off, so we wouldn't want that.)
