From just a little analyziation the problem seems to be with the boot blocks of the FDHD floppy. For some reason they keep getting wiped out and I could speculate why but I'll probably be wrong. Usually when an FDHD becomes unreadable I use MacTools 7.x to mount it and from then on every things fine PLUS no information is lost because there's no need to reformat the disk. So far this technique has worked whenever I've had a problem with an FDHD. So far I've only told one person about this 'trick' so let me know if it works. -d
