[comp.sys.mac.hardware] pre-Plus SCSI interface solutions

iduncan@ipsa.reuter.com (Ian Duncan) (06/11/90)

In the not too distant past one could buy a gizmo that would slip into a 512E
and provide a SCSI port. This was *the* alternative to upgrading to the Plus.
I'd like to get one. Dove was one source that I remember, but when I phoned
the local Dove distributor they told me Dove no longer sells it.

So, does anyone have such a thing for sale, new or used, or does anyone know
of a company that still sells one. If not, does anyone know what went into it.
I saw one once and it was very simple. I have no problem getting out the
soldering iron and scope to put something together, but I'd rather not start
from first principles.

If there's enough interest I'll post a summary of notable responses.

Thanks.

According to a recent MacWarehouse catalogue, the Dove SCSI board IS still
available for $109: 1-800-255-6227 - but I haven't checked on this.

THIS IS THE WRONG PHONE NUMBER!!!!!!!!!

I made a mistake and grabbed the wrong number from my desk.

The correct phone number is (815) 229-5023

I should also mention that the MacGusto is a kit, I don't think I
made that clear earlier.
