[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Serial problem fixed

touch@dsl.cis.upenn.edu (Joe Touch) (07/11/90)

I posted to this newsgroup a little while back,
concerning a serial port which was sucking 20mA
and refused to loopback.

The problem was the 2632 RS-422 chip, one section
of which worked, but drew too much current while doing so.

Thanks to Ed Satterthwait of DEC for help in locating
and fixing the problem.
