[net.columbia] We hear you

eugene@ames.UUCP (02/08/86)

I got off the phone with JSC about an hour ago, just before an address
by Dr. Graham. I've been requested to mail samples of various postings
to JSC. I've selected poetry, speculation, funds, memorial suggestions,
and so forth as samples plus everything we have on our disks from
net.columbia, net.space, and risks.ARPA. It's a three inch thick
versatec listing. The people at JSC say it is too early to think
about a memorial to people who have died helping the space program.
Several artists have offered to donate their services to such a memorial.
The mail flooding JSC is 1000% normal. They also ask that if you
have good (emphasis) theories, that you should not hesitate to contact
the Review Board. Call up the Public Affairs Office at the nearest
NASA Center to find out how. The Review Board checks all possible
leads at 9AM EST which come in thru the mails daily.
Please keep speculation down.

As I mentioned we have had a briefing by Dr. Graham and our director,
Dr. Ballhaus. Please do not ask for information. We check leads daily,
and our opinions change daily. Just stay tuned to news sources.
