I occasionally have an odd problem with my monitor and am hoping someone out there can help me out. Occasionally, while working away at my Mac, the monitor goes completely black. Each time I think it must be my screen saver (Moire) kicking in while I am in Word (since Word sometimes prevents the patterns from appearing). However, I am not necessarily in Word when the problem occurs. Furthermore, I notice the power light on my monitor goes out. The only solution I have found is to unplug the monitor power cables & restart my Mac. A few cycles of this procedure generally seems to get things going again & the problem may not resurface for months at a time. Am I building up to a serious power supply problem for my monitor? Any ideas or suggestions on how to diagnose & solve this problem are welcome. Hardware: Mac II 5 meg RAM Apple color video card, fully populated for 256 colors Apple 13" color monitor CMS 60 meg. internal drive Software: Finder 6.1 System 6.02 Always running MultiFinder Several (5 - 10) inits/cdevs The machine is about 27 months old & has worked like a champ except for this occasional power glitch. Thanks in advance for your help! Mike
