Is there a listed duty-cycle for the ImageWriter LQ? We're thinking about putting some of them in for use as general-purpose draft-quality printers and for printing from networked Macintoshes. Our only concern is whether or not they'll hold up under the load. Any positive (or negative) experiences with these printers in a public area? Thanks, Robert -- Robert K. We have 5 IW-LQ under public service in our laboratory, in service like draft quality listing printers for the students. We have many problems with the paper feed system (we try all ways) and with theprinter speed in draft quality (MPW does not support LQ draft quality printing, only IWII draft. We write our own printer driver for MPW). Another consideration is the price. IW-LQ is an expensive printer to make the listings. We are testing now a Shiva NetSerial and an IBM compatible printer. Ulloa or someone else that might have produced a similar item. As Apple apparently has little interest in getting MPW to work correctly with ImageWriter LQs (draft output can now be produced, but the Print tool will only print out half a page worth of text before doing a page eject <- best case scenario), I would very much like to get a copy of this, if possible.
