I have a hardware problem that I hope someone could enlighten me on: I have a brand new RasterOps 264 card that I just put into a new IIcx to drive an Apple 13" colour monitor. The machine boots fine, with the gorgeous RasterOps startup screen, but the disply remains VERY dim. It also flashes between bright (normal ?) and dark light levels at odd intervals and eventually fades to black some minutes later. I have tested all connections, tried the card in different slots, tried the monitor on another Mac II (it works fine), fiddled with settings on monitor and Control Panel: all to no avail. I have yet to put the card in another Mac II; I guess that would be the acid test ... Has anyone had/seen/heard of this problem ? I am just borrowing this machine for a couple of months (it has AppleCare), and hope I don't have to send the card back for repair/replacement ! J.
