[The Line Eater LIVES!!!]

We have a Macintosh lab in our department in which a Mac SE
is used as a file server. If this SE is booted from a floppy, the entire
file structure of the machine (including the password file) is visible.
We are interested in providing a higher level of security for the data
on the fileserver.
One solution is to get a device called a Mac Muzzle,
manufactured by Ergotron, which would in effect lock the floppy drives
and prevent such an unauthorized reboot.
Any comments concerning the advantages/short commings of the
Mac Muzzle or any other security device would be appreciated. Please
reply to orletsky@cs.jhu.edu.
