I believe I missed most of the recent discussion on CD-ROM drives for the MAC. I hope someone will still give me some advice. I've use the Apple drive and like it but have decide d to buy a drive for my home system. Is the CD Porta drive as good as it sounds. What is the downside if any with Mac compatibility? Does it have the same performance specs as the Toshiba XM3201! It seems to have a very attractive price on mailorder. I know I'm not interested in the NEC. Thanks, HDM
