---------- A friend of mine is interested in recording some of his albums onto digital media (for his own enjoyment only, i.e. no bootlegging) and cleaning up the sound in the process. For this purpose he needs a DSP with stereo audio output. He has a Mac, but is thinking of using a Next, 'cause it's the only computer he knows of with _stereo_ audio output (Sun has mono, he says). It would be most convenient for him if he could use his Mac. Are there any DSP boards out there with stereo audio output? Any info much appreciated! Are there any > DSP boards out there with stereo audio output? Check out the AudioMedia package from DigiDesign Inc. This has stereo line inputs and outputs as well as a stereo mike input. It comes bundled with a slightly cut down version of the Sound Designer II software. The processor is a 56k and the D-A's and A-D's are stereo 16 bit 44.1 kHz. All this for under $1000... //Paul -- Paul Russell, Department of Experimental Psychology University of Sussex, Falmer, Brighton BN1 9QG, England Janet: paulr@uk.ac.sussex.syma Nsfnet: paulr@syma.sussex.ac.uk Bitnet: paulr%sussex.syma@ukacrl.bitnet Usenet: ...ukc!syma!paulr
