I am using a LaserWriter IINTX with my IBM AT machine via RS-232 hookup. I need to be able to hook up the Mac to this machine, also... as far as I can understand from the manuals, I need *two* LocalTalk boxes and a connecting cable to hook up the Mac, and if I want to use the IBM with it also I will have to buy a LocalTalk card for the it (unless I want to flick dipswitch #2 back and forth all the time). My question is, is there a way to hook up the Mac using RS-232, or hook it up to LocalTalk and still use the RS-232 port without switching the dipswitch? If not, what is the "best" (read "cheapest") way to hook up a Mac SE to the IINTX? Do I *really* need all the $50 cables from Apple? Please reply via email, if there is an interest, I will post a summary. Thanks in advance. /| | | / :: Chemistry Department, Lab 128C / | | | /| / :: Clarkson University (315) 268-6626 /__| | |/ |/ :: Potsdam, NY 13699-5810 whiteaj@clutx.clarkson.edu __/ ==========::=====================================================
