[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Non-slot Ethernet Connection - SE?

cuello@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu (08/18/90)

My Macintosh SE's only slot is occupied by a Radius Accelerator 25.
If I wanted to connect this machine to the university ethernet network,
what are my alternatives (if any)? Specifically what type of accessories
would I need for any available alternative that you might suggest?

There are numerous SCSI based ethernet adapters available. MacUser
did a recent spread on ethernet cards, and included several SCSI
devices. They all, as a rule, performed much worse than a "real"
ethernet card did. However, they do provide a solution for people
without slots.
