[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Is grayscale possible on an SE/30?

I remember reading when the SE/30 came out that it had the proper ROM for
color screens, but that these had to be attached throught the expansion
slot.  What about using the internal black and white monitor for grayscale?
Is there any way to do that?
