Has anyone been able to hook up a CDR-35 (NEC CDROM) to a SCSI port along with a hard drive? The (ob)structions point out that the CDROM has to be *before* the hard drive (in other words the hard drive must be on the end). Unfortunately, the CDR-35 has only *one* 50 pin connector. I can get my hard drive to work (two SCSI ports) by itself, and the CDROM works by itself but when I daisy chain them together the system refuses to see the hard drive. The CDROM is hard coded to address 1. I tried the hard disk at addresses 0, 2, and 6 (no luck). Please respond via E-mail and I'll summarize to the net. Thank you very much! -- Harrison M. The folks that sold me the CDR-35 did not know this but the NEC hot line was most helpful :-). The words in the install manual that the CDR-35 has to be in between the hard disk and the Macintosh are rubbish according to the NEC hot line folks. The CDROM *has* to be on the end. -- Harrison M.
