I would like to hear from anyone who has any experience, pro- or con-, using the Printer Controller from Laser MAX systems. The system I am looking at is a controller board that sits in my IIci, and connects with my LW+, increasing the printer resolution to 800 x 800 dpi from Apple's 300 x 300. The ads promise wonderful output, and the salesman from LaserMAX promises complete Adobe Type1 font support with my favorite applications. Is this true? Does the card work? Is something going to fry inside my LaserWriter+?
