Does anyone have the Seiko color monitor or has anyone heard about it? It is cheaper than the apple, but a trinitron. The ads claim that its brighter and the person I spoke to said that it was a more recent trinitron. It also comes with the cable and tilt/swivel. Is it any good? (Its $100 less than the Apple at educational prices) THanks -Rob "Its a good thing frogs can hop, or I'd be Gone With the Schwinn!" rlwald@phoenix.princeton.edu

I have seen the Seiko monitor at a local Mac dealer, and I must say that it looked darned good. I would say the picture was about as good as the Apple Color Monitor. However, I brought up a program which had some blue lines in it, and they fairly jumped off the screen! I guess Seiko isn't kidding when it says it has brighter colors - I saw them, and agree. I personally have a Sony CPD-1304/HG monitor, and I am VERY happy with it. It is also cheaper than the Apple monitor (around $650 discounted), and is multiscanning and has a nice etched non-glare surface. It has no convergence controls, however. -- Sonny Shrivastava - via FidoNet node 1:125/777 UUCP: ...!uunet!hoptoad!fidogate!161!555!Sonny.Shrivastava INTERNET: Sonny.Shrivastava@f555.n161.z1.FIDONET.ORG
