[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Mac IIcx modem port problems

   I have a puzzling problem which has cropped up on two Macs that I work
   with.  Both of them refuse to run Kermit, and bomb with an error code 
   of -98 (portNotCF: driver Open error code [parameter RAM not configured
   for this connection.])  Both are running system 6.0.4, and both have 4
   megs of system RAM.

   I have tried connecting an Imagewriter to the port but cannot successfully
   print anything out.  It accesses the printer, but no data gets sent to it.

   If anyone has run into this situation before, or can recommend something
   to try, I would greatly appreciate it.  You can post responses (I follow
