I was wondering if anyone has had experience in installing a FX upgrade into a early MAC II? I am prepared to do the installation myself but I have been told that the internal SCSI termination is rather tricky and you could do some damage if it is not terminated correctly. Can anyone enlighten me as to the possible Pitfalls? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Peter K. I'd advise against doing this yourself. Not it it's difficult, but that you lose any warranty on the board. I upgraded my Mac II to a IIfx a couple of months ago, and let an Apple Authorized dealer do the install. Good thing too, since the FX board was bad; so, I got a new one for free. Had I installed it myself, and then found it was bad, there possibly could have been claims that I broke it while installing, and not be covered. I figure, if you're going to spend the money for the upgrade, might as well let the dealer do the install, since it's included in the price.
