Hmm...maybe someone can clarify this... I heard as one of many rumors that the Mac LC will have built-in 8-bit color, but only at 512x342 resolution. Now, if the LC is supposed to be able to use the new 12" inch color monitor Apple is supposedly gonna come out with...how big will the picture be? I mean, 512x342 doesn't even completely fill the SE screen! Am i gonna have oodles of dark screen? I also heard that you can have 640x480 resolution, but only at 4-bits. If this is true, it sounds like a bad idea...sounds very IBMish...different numbers of displayable colors at different resolutions. Ick. Egad...even sounds like the Apple IIe. :) Oh well..the more things change, the more they stay the same. :) -- Jason Gross Comp Sci Ugrad University of Miami Class of '91 (?) =========================================================================== Hey, wanna save the world? | Got sumtin' to say? gross@umiami.bitnet Nuke a Godless, Communist, | Pick and choose! gross@umiami.miami.edu gay whale for Christ. | gross@miavax.ir.miami.edu - Anonymous | jgross@umbio.med.miami.edu =========================================================================== The University of Miami has a lovely fountain.
