[comp.sys.mac.hardware] HD20 drive

sbulmahn@yoyodyne.ncsa.uiuc.edu (Dr Thrasher) (10/03/90)

I have an old Apple HD20 hard drive, the non SCSI version (I guess it runs
thru the serial port). This drive was made for the Mac Plus, and in fact
it will plug into a plus with no problems.

I have an Apple ][gs, and would like to able to connect this drive to my
computer, but as far as I know it is not possible. Is there some hardware
guru out there that could tell me what I need to buy to get the drive to
work???

You can buy a "WSI" (with SCSI Interface) from Personal Computer
Periperhals Corp (PCPC), a kit specificially made for upgrading the
HD20 to SCSI. I think it's about $150, but it may be cheaper now.
