Thanks to the individual who sent me scsi tools. My recently-crashed hd now just seems like it's not mounting properly. I booted up an 800K w/system and the Scsi Tools cdev and mounted it manually and everything was perfect. I did seem to notice a slight decreace in time after copying a file to my hd.. 'updqating directory' took like a second longer than normal. But, everything' s there and in working order. So it's my novice theory that the 1st few hd blocks are messed.. the boot info. Is ther esome porgram out there that will fix it for me? I don't want to have to borrow a 40meg drive and move all my files on it to reformat my hd and then copy them back... I'd rather just move files that are on the defective tracks off, reformat and slam them back on. Can somebody help me do this?!@ SUM II is no help. Maybe Norton's Utils? PLEASE EMAIL YOUR RESPONSE TO ME. I don't get this ng. -jq
