[comp.sys.mac.hardware] SCSI Port on NTX

km@mathcs.emory.edu (Ken Mandelberg) (10/09/90)

Is the SCSI port on a LWII NTX useful as a very fast computer interface
to the printer? For example, is it possible to get the postscript
interpreter to read and write from the SCSI port instead of the
serial/localtalk ports?

I know the intention of the port is for a hard disk to hold fonts, but
wonder if more is possible.

I'm not asking about what MacOS supports. I'm really asking a question
about the hardware/firmware in the printer itself.
