Okay, here's the situation. I'm finally in a position where I
might soon be able to afford that upgrade I've been drooling for
for a long time. I would like reports on how these two add-in
boards work.
I have: 512ke, recently replace power supply, and an
external fan I made myself from spare parts.
I know that the MacRescue has 6 SIMM slots versus the NewBridge1's
8, but other than that I don't see any difference. MacRescue's
adds boast that you can have 4 meg of adressable ram and 2.5
meg of RamDisk to toy with (they say they include the software,
I think); NewBridge boasts of fancy CMOS circuitry.
Other than that, I really don't see much difference, and they cost
about the same (NewBridge1's list price is about $10 less).
So, which is better?
Please mail directly to me, and if I get overloaded with responses,
I'll post a follow-up.
Erik
