[comp.sys.mac.hardware] SCSI HardDrive for Mac SE

bdo8650@cec2.wustl.edu (Bryan D. O'Connor) (10/14/90)

Hi.

I am looking to add a SCSI Hard Drive (a seagate ST157-1n) to a
MAC SE that I use at work. I am NOT a Mac person so I do not
know how hard/easy this is.

Here is what I do know:
	1)	The Mac DOES have a SCSI cable hanging off the
back. (It used to have a HD connected to it)
	2)	The MAC has at least 2 megs of memory.
	3)	I am using System 6.0.5 (proper terminology?)

Here is what I am asking:
	1)	Do I need a "driver" for the Hard Drive?
	2)	Can I just "plug and go"?
	3)	Is this at all feasible?

Now, I know you are all probably wondering why I ask this
stupid, "in the f... manual" question. This Mac "came" with
my job. There are no manuals to be had. I luckily had
a system disk and a few blanks around to be able to set it
up by intuition. I am not a "MAC" person, so I don't know
the necessities for setting things up.

Please respond in E-Mail, I don't want to tie up the net.
Thank you very much in advance.

Bryan
