[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Capacitors for Mac+

pdel@ADS.COM (Peter Delevoryas) (10/18/90)

Does anyone know where I can get the following capacitors for the Mac+ -

1. Board ref. C4 - .033 mfd 400V metallized film cap.
2. Board ref. C40- .03 mfd 400V ceramic cap.

Also -

Board ref. R7 - 39 ohm, 5W, 10% tolerance wirewound resistor.

Failing that, does anyone know what causes the linearity of the Mac+
to be off?
I'm using the Test Pattern Generator disk from Larry Pina's book, and
when I do the crosshatch test, some of the squares are less than 1" sq.,
and some are greater than 1" (by about 1/16" at most).

The balance test shows the propellor circles compressed a bit on the left
side, and stretched on the right.

I don't want to send the board in, since I already replaced all the big
caps, as well as the flyback transformer, and some other parts that came
with a power supply upgrade that I ordered. Most places only do complete
board repairs (swaps), or charge a flat rate (about $150).

Any help appreciated.
