That is, the entire page is reduced 4% so that 72-dpi bitmaps and 300-dpi text and other objects match properly. The only reason you'd use it with monaco is because you can't get outlines for it.. it's a BITMAP. And unless you have very large sizes of it installed, you could get some interesting output (alignment-wise) if you didn't correct the page to realign the bitmaps.
