Are you watching the curl of your paper as you load the laserwriter? The paper should be loaded into the tray so the natural curl wraps around the drum. The fastest way to jam a high-speed copier to load the paper upside-down. Look at the outside of the paper package for the arrow indicating the direction of the paper curl.
