This has probably been asked before. How can I change the soldered battery on my Mac II to one which is replaceable, ie. put in a battery socket like those I see in the motherboards of the newest Macs? I remember when the Mac II first came out, I was told that the battery will last for 7 years. However, a local Mac service man told me that a lithium battery typically last about three years. Heck, even the Mac 128K can have its battery easily replaced by pulling out a small battery compartment behind. -- ph tan, CS Dept, UT Austin tph@cs.utexas.edu
