About 2 week ago I aske the BB members for some advice on cheap 2400 modems. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you that responded to my request for advice. Basically, the take-home-lessons are (1) some of the inexpensive modems are manufactured by one company that then markets them under different names. (2) they all seem to work well unless you have a noisy phone line. This seems to be when the more expensive modems show their value. (3) their life expectancy does not appear to be any shorter then the more expensive models. Then again, if you can buy two for the the same price as one expensive units... Thanks again for the advice. ******************************************************************************* * Rich Friedman * A mind is a terrible thing to lose * * Friedman@mbcl.rutgers.edu * Just Ask Dan Quayle * * * * My opinions must be my own, * Washington, Lincoln and Truman DIDN'T * * Nobody else will agree with them. * go to college.
