Howdy All, I am working with a graduate student here at the University of Delaware who has a problem (in addition to being a graduate student :-) ). He owns an Apple IIe & a printer called the Microprism Model 480 by Integral Data Systems (IDS). He uses the Grappler by Orange Micro, but a strange version, where none of the DIP switches on the board do anything (i.e., they used the same Grappler board, but with a different ROM _specifically_ for the IDS 480). This is not a special run just for him, but it was a "special" board (not normally stocked at your local Apple dealer). Now, he has moved up to a Mac Classic (or will be shortly), and wants use this beast with new machine. I called to Orange Micro, who said "if it doesn't support Epson Emulation, it won't work", and he had no knowledge of the special Apple IIe board.... Yes, I have the user's manual for the printer, and I have RTFM. It doesn't have _anything_ about epson emulation mode, but does it do it anyway?? Does anyone out there use one of these beasts on their Mac of Choice? Any suggestions, hints, tips? Please - I crossposted this to mac and apple, hoping someone out there has one of these and has more info about it than I do... So, please, reply directly back to me via Email - see the sig.
