Hi. I'm at an "educational institution", and it seems that they're
still selling SE's here. The price seems to be about $300 MORE for the SE's in
every configuration (ie. 40 meg hard drive, 2 meg configuration.)
My question is this: besides getting
* an extra adb port
* an internal slot
* a dimmer knob
* an older power supply
* a computer with around the same speed (apple says the classic is around 5%
faster than the SE; MacUser says it's around 5% slower, who can tell?)
* a computer that apple has discontinued :(
what are we paying the extra $300 for? To keep apple's profit margins
up? Should I tell my friends to get the Classic?
thanks in advance,
Jeremy Goldman

Both Oakland University and Wayne State University in Detroit, MI have stopped selling the SE and now carry the Classic.
