[comp.sys.mac.hardware] How do I get a LaserWriter IINTX to recognize additional RAM?

bmartin@uhccux.uhcc.Hawaii.Edu (Brian Martin) (11/12/90)

I just added 4 1MB NTX simms to my LW IINTX, and it wouldn't recognize them.
I tried switching the 1 MB simms to Bank 0, and the 256k simms to bank 2,
and that got the NTX to recognize 5MB. But how do I get it to recognize the
remaining 1 MB in bank 2? Is there a resistor to cut, a jumper to install, a
postscript command to send?? Please reply to me at martin@medix.pegasus.com, as the account I'm posting from evaporates soon.

Thanks,

Six megabytes is not a supported memory configuration for the LaserWriter
IINTX; this is documented in the new "LaserWriter IINT/NTX User's Guide"
on page 123. The supported configurations are 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, and 12
megabytes of RAM.
