The other day my 800k floppy drive started acting up. If I'm already booted up and I put in a floppy, it says it needs minor repairs. I click OK and after grinding for a few seconds it says the desktop file could be created. It grinds some more and spits the floppy out. I tried rebooting, but to no avail. I rebooted with a floppy. I got the happy mac and it read the disk for a few seconds and then spit it out. Setup: Mac SE, 4Mb memory, 800K floppy, 105Mb HD, System 6.0.7, Multifinder6.1b9 Init/CDEVS: MacTCP, Communications Toolbox: ADSP tool, TCP tool, Pyro! 4.0, Desktop Manager The floppy I tried to boot with was System 6.0.4. I don't think its hardware because I did manage to get FirstAid HFS to keep a disk and read it. I did this when I thought the floppy was bad. It recovered all of the data. Any clues??? I don't want to shell $350 for a new one. -------Address-------------------Email---------------------Disclaimer--------- Thomas P.
