I have a 10 month-old SE with dual FDHD drives (and a hard drive - I like dual floppies). One of my drives is dead - it consistantly fails reading disks. The other "good" drivegives me semi-frequent failures with my MEI bulk HD disks. The other day, however, it choked on a brand new Sony "non-bulk" disk. This scares me... You are not the first I have heard about bad FDHD's... I'm beginning to wonder if the FDHD design is bad or something - has anyone else had problems???

I haven't had a read/write/format problems with my ci drive, but has anyone noticed that they seem to run slower (copying files to hd, etc.) than other drives? I haven't timed it or anything, but it seems like when I copy files (via a floppy) from my se/30 to ci or vice versa, the ci floppy always takes longer. Is it just my imagination?
