What ROMs go in machines being made now? Current version of the ROM or the version used when the machine was first announced/shipped? For example: I'm buying a Mac IIci. Have the ROMs in the IIci's been updated since it came out last year? Does it now have ROM's comparable to the IIfx or IIsi? Or are the ROMs the same, but functionality is kept current through the use of patches attached to the system or other startup documents (i.e. 32-bit Quickdraw)? Has Apple ever made available ROM updates to be used in the ROM SIMM slot?
