Has anyone heard of the Paradise Systems Mac10 hard disk? A serial job, from around 1985? I bought one, on impulse, at an auction this morning, and would /like/ to connect it to the old Plus, probably as archive... but just mounting it would be interesting! It came with a software disk, but no manual. Seems it runs from the printer or modem ports, so as I've a printer on the modem port and AppleTalk on the printer port, I wondered if there's any way to mount the wretched thing as a remote volume...? Connections look interesting, too. There's an external power supply (currently not working) and a 128k type serial lead ending in a mini-8 converter which is also attached - by a single wire - to what looks like a 6" extention of the 2nd floppy port. Can it need power from the floppy port? Any information would be welcome. In 1985, Paradise Systems hung out at 217 East Grand Ave., South San Francisco (I looked 'em up in old issues of MacWorld - knew I kept them for something - and found this drive has a 'lightning fast' 85ms seek time..) but I haven't heard of Paradise as a disk manufacturer for ages.
