I have a somewhat bizarre question: Does anyone know if there would be a problem if the internal 40 or 80M hard disk that comes with every IIsi was removed (sold or put in another machine), and the si used with an external hard disk? I am thinking specifically about SCSI termination problems, as I think I read something like "all IIsi's have internal hard disks, so that takes care of termination problems" when the new Macs were announced back in October. The idea would be to use a IIsi with my existing 60M external hard disk until I sell it and add an internal Quantum 105 (or something else that's bigger) when I'm ready, 6 months or a year later. The classic without the hard disk comes with one installed. Also the fx upgrades ship with one. If the internal SCSI connector is not terminated it will probably cause a problem with the whole SCSI bus. Blacksheep Senior Systems Engineer -- Darrin R.
