Raster Ops 264 SE/30 works great with the you know what. It provides 24bit
color on Apple's 13 RGB or similar (NEC, Magnovox etc.) Even in
24 bit mode it runs very fast, because the SE/30 has less overhead of slots
than a Mac II series. Retail on the board, I think is $895. Street price
would there fore be around $625.

As far as the SE or Plus - the only thing that I am aware of is somehting
called - (I believe) Scuzzy Graph. It will enable you to display 8 colors
on Apples 13" RGB or similar. It connects through the SCSI port. I'm not
sure and question if it works on the Plus since the Plus's ROM does not
understand color information. It does work on the SE and Portable though
for sure. I don't know anything about except the name and what it is
supposed to do. Maybe someone else out there can supply the rest.

even that I'm saying it.

This sounds like a silly question, but do cards for the SE/30 (like the
Raster Ops 264 mentioned above) fit INSIDE the SE/30?

At least RasterOps 264/SE30 do. I use it now. The board is about
10"x5" and inserted vertically right side of Mac, where 2 brackets and
a slot connector are placed for SE/30 direct slot use. The video out
connector is placed in the braket of the back, this connector is
cabled from the RasterOps color board.
