This is the configuration. 1 Mac SE 4 Meg 40 Meg HD ruuning 6.03 1 Mac Classic 2 Meg 40Meg HD running 6.07 1 ImageWriter 1 PhonNet Connetor per device The cables are just 6 feet long. Have 2 connectors terminated (One for computer) terminated-computer -- ImageWriter -- computer-terminated This is the problem When I start the computers the printer goes crazy.(It just starts printing junk) When I go to the chooser the printer goes crazy again. I choose appleTalk ImageWriter but no printer comes up. ***end quote*** I experienced the same problems until I used Init (cdev) to disable the MacJanet stuff I needed for the lab. Once I disabled MacJanet, the ImageWriter worked fine. So, perhaps you have some network stuff lurking in your system folder that assumes its job it to establish contact with the outer world through the port to which your ImageWriter is connected? ______________________________________________________________ | Rick McCormack | IMAGISTICS BUSINESS THEATRE TECHNOLOGY | | Vancouver, BC | Information transfer - with a purpose. | | CANADA | ________________________________________ | | AOL: Rique | INTERACTIVE COMPREHENSIVE ENLIGHTENING | |________________|____________________________________________|
