A friend here at work asks, Is there any way to "remote" the 'click' function on a Macintosh mouse? I'm trying to find a way to trigger a computer animation on [a colleague's] Mac from our edit controller. If the 'click' is just a relay or switch that relates directly to two pins on the connector, maybe it would be possible to put an outboard relay or TTL pulse in parallel with the mouse. What do you think? I thought I saw a recent discussion where someone wanted to time events with mouse clicks/etc.; what was the outcome of that? (The quick and dirty way--very dirty--is to drive a solenoid poised over the mouse button!(-: (-: ). Theodore Allan Morris, U.
