[comp.sys.mac.hardware] answer to SE/30 maximum memory question

jk3t+@andrew.cmu.edu (Jonathan King) (12/12/90)

Turn around on this question was very speedy.

Yes, you *can* put 4 meg and 16 meg SIMMS into an SE/30, according to
somebody's owner's manual and somebody else's personal experience
(with 4 meg SIMMS).

Two people questioned why anybody would want to do this. The answer
is: you can never have too much memory capacity. If you don't need
it now, you will need it later, and the person I was asking the
question for is trying to plan ahead.

Thanks for the helpful responses

Can 16MB SIMMs also be used in a IIci?
