[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Mac LC availability

ps7@prism.gatech.EDU (SRIRAM,P) (12/14/90)

yes, mac lc's are available. i got suckered into picking mine up two
weeks ago (nov 30) and mine was the first lc sold on the beautiful
(yeah, considering it is almost downtown) georgia tech campus here in
the sunny south. (ok, atlanta may not be in florida but close enough).
watch out - i could not get excel to run on mine since there is no
co-processor and excel seems to need this (though the manuals dont say
so). and the only expansion slot is a 020 direct slot and our bookstore
guys dont know if i can get a math co-processor in there.

sriram.

The free PseudoFPU INIT should allow Excel, and other programs that need
an FPU, to run on the LC. Also, several companies have announced cards for
the 020 direct slot that include sockets for a math coprocessor.
