[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Internal Hard Disks for use in a IIsi

granteri@pnet51.orb.mn.org (Grant Erickson) (01/02/91)

I would like to extend this question to someone from Apple on the net as
neither Apple nor my local service tech at my Apple Dealer seems to know. I am
in need of a new internal hard disk for my IIsi and I am looking for somehting
in the 100-135 meg range for around $400 - $550. I have not seen any sort of
list about what drives will not void the IIsi's warranty and are safe for use
in the machine. Here are the drives I am considering and questioning:

Quantum LP105S
Conner 105
Fujitsu 135
Quantum ProDrive 105

To the best of my knowledge, only the LPS is a 1/3 height drive. I hae no
NuBus card now, but MAY be getting a 4*8 card soon. Any help, drive
specifications, current experience with any of these drives, or even a
recommendation of another brand would be GREATLY appreciated.
