[comp.sys.mac.hardware] New LC/Classic keyboard problems!

yee@osf.org (Michael K. Yee) (01/03/91)

I just found a problem with my LC keyboard over the holidays. When
	I type "67" quickly I get "647". I found this out at 2am when
manually dailing phone numbers for some local BBS's (sorry to
whomever I woke up). Has anyone else had this problem? Does the
"New" extended keyboard have this problem also? BTW: I am running
	System 6.0.7.

Yes, I see the same symptoms...(67) comes out 64.

I'm having the same problem with my Mac LC keyboard. typing "67" quickly
always causes "647" to be appear.

I just went to our local store to investigate the '67' -> '64' keyboard
problem. I tried two Classics and an LC and the same thing happened on
all three of them. Plugging in another kind of ADB keyboard caused the
problem to vanish, so the problem is certainly related to the keyboard.
However, the average purchaser of a Classic isn't going to want to shell
out the extra bucks for another keyboard. I was considering buying a
Classic, but I just don't know any more.
