Re: Your question concerning (I think they call it VideoTrax) backup systems. Last time I looked into this I realized that even tho it works and is less expensive than a SCSI tape drive (only if you don't have to buy the VCR, also), it is a pain to use. First off, the software was years behind even Apple's ----- and the most important down side is that it takes 2 hours to back up 80 MB. 80 MB was the limit when I looked this thing over. Even tho it is more costly, I went with a 150 MB tape and enjoy my backups at 6-8 MB per minute. Then I can get on with life.
