A friend is upgrading her old Mac II to an Mac IIfx. She got an offer to replace her old hard disk with a 100Mbyte hard disk at the same time. She does not really need the disk space but my question is, are the hard disks today generally faster than those that came with the Mac II? One of the primary applications is 4D and the speed is a pain sometimes. If she decide to keep the old one, is the interleave factor right or does she have to reformat it? Will a reformat know about IIfx and give the best interleave factor? Kent Boortz boortz@sics.se
