Hi All, Here's an odd one. A friend just move from a Plus to a IIsi and ran into some problems with his LaserWriter IISC. He had been using a long 9ft SCSI cable with no troubles (even had a hard disk daisy chained on with another 6ft cable). When he hooked up the IIsi, though, really strange things started happening and he couldn't print (or even launch most programs). It turned out the the IIsi can't handle the 9ft cable. It worked fine when we used a 3 ft cable - didn't have a chance to test with a 6 ft cable. So perhaps Apple stole some power from the SCSI bus, thus shortening its effective length, which was 16 ft previously. cheers ... Adam -- Adam C.
