I have always seen discussion about these Syquest drives, but have never paid attention to them since I was not in the market for them. However, as it turns out, we are using them in our lab. So, here is my question: Can FORMATTED cartridges (i.e. files written onto them) be mixed among the different drives? For example, if I have a cartridge from Brand X with an Excel file. Would I be able to take this cartridge, plug it into Brand Y's drive and use my Excel file without any problems? In other words, are cartridges interchange- able among the different brand Syquest removable drives? Are there only some brands which can be interchanged while others cannot?
